P I Globe
I've always wanted to sketch this. I actually have a connection to this sign. I have worked for the
sign company that designed it originally and have produced drawings and patterns for the neon.
All of the Letters rotate around the globe and it says. "It's in the PI"

Gas Works Park
My brothers and I grew up a couple of blocks away from this park.
We would often play near by and down by the lake. I wasn't as idyllic as it now is.

Chicken & Waffles in Wallingford
Great food from a nice little Airstream trailer. It roves around and is in Wallingford on Sunday's.
It is called Skillet.
Sketchcrawl at Stimson Green Mansion
Lori and I attended this months Sketchcrawl at the Stimson Green Mansion.
One bit of interesting trivia is that the Stimson daughters had two pet bears that lived at the house
until they were too big. They then moved to the zoo.

Fairview and Eastlake
I did this sketch after a survey of a building on Eastlake Ave.
The building with the Smokestacks is the ZymoGenetics Building which was the former Lake Union Steam Plant. It is at the south end of Lake Union.

TV Time
I attended a taping of "New Day" in Seattle. The founder of my Sketch group was promoting his new book as well as Urban Sketching. My task was to complete a sketch while the show was taped.
The top sketch is the one I showed on the air.

1930 Pontiac Sedan
This is my Father in Law Ed Bruno at the age of 19 in front of his 17 year brothers car in Seaside, Or.
Richard, his brother, modified the car by hacksawing off the roof. This made the car a french cabriolet.
There was no division window between the driver's seat and passenger cabin.
The brothers road tripped from Seattle to Seaside doing battle against the elements and Logging trucks.

SAAM Sketchcrawl Jan 2012
There was a chance of snow expected but I decided to forge ahead and attend the gathering of sketchers.
A trace amount was on the ground when I arrived and I didn't expect to see about 4" on my car!
I drove a little while and decided it was best to chain up and walk down the hill.
Here are my sketches.
