Nibble on Dibble 2010

The Nibble on Dibble is our yearly Neighborhood block party and it has had the Waterslide for the entire Twenty year run.

Nicole and Narith's Wedding

We attended an outdoor Wedding and the temp was 90+. It was nice and breezy from the lake.
It was a lovely ceremony and it was decorated nicely.

Eddie Bruno

This my Father in Law and he has many colorful stories about his childhood in Southpark (South Seattle) in the 30's and 40's.
Everything from throwing a rock at a bee hive and having a bunch of bee's fly down his bib overall's to accidentally trapping the neighbor's cow in a pit that was once their secret fort.

Dustin came over for a visit

I call him Dusty and he lives a few houses down the street and he feels very comfortable here I think.

Lunch at Dixies

Really large portions and hot sauce!

Neon for the Marquee

This kind of looks like a Mad Scientist contraption. There's a real danger element too.

Seattle Waterfront at Pier 66

I thought this building was shaped like the prow of a ship and it's as if they just had a close call at sea

Greenwood Car Show, Seattle, WA

I love this Show because you can see such a broad spectrum of vehicles.
My favorite was the Messerschmitt seen above and a Diamond T pickup truck as well
as the Rat Rod contingent

Elliott Bay Bookstore's new digs

Wonderful Weekend with Family in Wenatchee, WA

We spent the weekend in Wenatchee celebrating my Mom's 77th Birthday.
My brother and his family and my family stayed here and it was spectacular!
You can see Tim's toes on the hassock as he plays the ukelele.

Two Beers Brewery, Seattle

We got to sample some fine beers with a Groupon. It was quite a bargain

Looking for Family

Lori has really become quite excited about finding long lost relatives online.

Lunchtime at my new job

I started working in Kirkland, WA which is on the East side of Lake Washington and Seattle.
It's a beautiful place when the sun's shining

Westlake Salvage Yard

This is a very neat salvage yard that uses a lot of the materials
they store for structures like the treehouse and the fence.
You might miss it going down Westlake.

North 74th and Greenwood

This is the view from Herkimer Coffee at 74th & Greenwood

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

This week's assignment was a Gas Station.
I used to patronize this station until Safeway's station came along.
I felt their prices were the closest thing to "corporal" punishment hence their name.

Taproot Theater

This is the first play since the Theater was damaged by an arson fire.
It was really nice and I was impressed by the staging. In particular the
representation of a moving bus with everyone holding onto a rod and
swaying in sync with each other was fun and realistic.

Wallingford Center Sketch Crawl

I had a great afternoon sketching at the Wallingford Center which happened to be
my school from 1959 -1966. It was fun being there without having to worry about
homework.
